Anthony Bourdain's Scrambled Eggs


  • 1/2 cup sliced bacon (about 2 slices of thick-cut)
  • 4 eggs, whisked
  • 1/8 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped chives
  • 2 Tbsp. sour cream


  1. Heat a medium or large pan (nonstick if you have it) over medium-high heat.
  2. Add bacon to pan and cook, stirring frequently, until bacon is crispy, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Lower heat and spoon out some of the bacon fat, keeping bacon in the pan.
  4. Add eggs to pan, stirring constantly, and when set, remove from heat.
  5. Stir in sour cream, chives and season with salt and pepper to taste.


    Angry Hair of the Dog Cocktail

    This is a Bourdain inspired twist on a cocktail called "Hair of the Dog" I'm sure Anthony wasn't a stranger to the concept...

    • 1 1/2oz espresso or strong coffee
    • 2oz whiskey (dealers choice, I like Bourbon or Scotch in this)
    • 3/4oz honey OR 1 1/2 oz honey syrup
    • 2oz cream, milk, or dairy free substitute

    This can be served warm or cold. For the cold version, shake ingredients with ice and strain into glass with ice. 

    For hot version, add ingredients except whiskey to a pot and slowly heat until steaming. Don't let this boil! Add the whiskey and warm for another minute then pour into mug and enjoy!
